We challenge you to find another establishment quite like ours.
An establishment deeply embedded in its roots, supported by and for the community of Orwin Pennsylvania.
We never forget why we're here. For the preservation of life and property and to be the trusted focal point in our community. To provide the resources and facility required to provide shelter and comfort for the village of Orwin and its residents.
OFC is enjoying a steady increase in membership, on both the active firefighter and social sides of the organization. We are overjoyed that this bucks the national trend and shows that pride in community and the willingness to help your neighbor is alive and well in our area. It also shows that we're doing something right. Combining value added services and satisfying our customers with hospitality and respect.
You do not need to live in Orwin to be eligible for membership to our fire company. A number of our firefighters live outside the village of Orwin, but are still able to respond to the station in a timely manner.
Even if you choose not join the Orwin Fire Company, we encourage you to join a volunteer organization in your area. Don't ever think that one person can't make a difference.
Firefighters
For the firefighter, you can become part of a growing and dedicated team of firefighters. Over the last decade Orwin Fire has become an essential and formidable resource to many mutual aid companies in the Williams Valley area.
You can enjoy solid leadership and up to date equipment ensuring your safety and peace of mind. You will also participate in weekly training drills and sponsored certificate courses that will continue your education as a firefighter.
Sharing the wealth of knowledge is paramount, which is exactly why we strive to train with mutual aid companies as often as possible.
Social Members
For those who would rather just relax, our social club is the ticket. A light hearted club without the typical club atmosphere that so many of us try to avoid. No loud music, no aggressive patrons and plenty of space and seating.
Great food and pleasant people allow for relaxed conversations for you and your entire family. Every Friday is family night at OFC. Bring your kids, your parents and in-laws and make it a true family night out. Our dining selections and specials are sure to please everyone in your party. Please note that this is not a public club and is only accessible to members of OFC, but you can apply for membership upon your first visit. See next page for membership details.
Ladies' Auxiliary
Ladies' Auxiliary members enjoy a reduced membership fee while still enjoying all the benefits of membership.
One of the few remaining Ladies' Auxiliaries, we are blessed that ours is still very strong with a large membership and active body. The Ladies are instrumental to our continued progress and existence.
